I graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. This is my fourth year of teaching second grade. I taught for one year at Brewster Elementary in Brewster, MN and then came to Murray County Central West Elementary and have been here since. I also teach Early Childhood Family Education for Westbrook-Walnut Grove School District on Monday evenings. I got married to my best friend this past June and now live in Walnut Grove with my husband, Trent, and my dog Sota. Family is very important for both of us. We live on his family farm's site, so we live very close to his parents. As for me, I grew up in Inver Grove Heights, MN so my family is a bit farther away. However, I travel home about once a month to see my parents, 3 sisters, brother, 2 in-laws, and my sweet, sweet niece. We both enjoy being involved in the community with volunteer organizations. Trent is a fireman and I am an EMT. We both love the small town atmosphere!
